A little about me . . .

I loved art as a child and I loved animals.  Here I am c.1970s painting with Ollie, the kitten.  I still have some of my sketches.  There have been lots of art-deficient years between then and now but I have found that I love art more than ever and I'm making up for lost time.

I'm studying for a BA (Hons) degree in Creative Art with the Open College of the Arts and also for a Pet Portrait Diploma with London Art College. I continue to learn and develop through college courses as there is always room to push myself that bit further.

For half of my week I am an A level lecturer in a large FE college on the south coast. For the other half I am a newly-launched artist.

I love my work as animals have always featured strongly in my life. My two rescue dogs are a source of inspiration as I try to capture their essential nature in my work.  My cats too, provide me with challenges which enthuse and delight me.

I live in Hampshire with my husband, two children and menagerie of rescue animals.

I hope you come back to my site and view my ever-growing gallery.
