How do I commission a portrait?

Send me good quality photographs by email or post.  They need to be close up and sharp enough for me to see the direction of the fur.

Decide whether you would like pencil, pastel or acrylic and what size. Have a look the Gallery page to help you make up your mind if you're not sure.

View the progress of your portrait via my Works in Progress page and if you're happy - buy! (If you need to keep the portrait secret as a surprise present then I can email you the progress images instead.)

How do I pay?

By PayPal through the Payment options page on this site.  Alternatively, you can pay by cheque (payable to Martina Newton Art).  Once payment is cleared, I will send out your portrait.

What's included in the price?

Prices are for head and shoulders single pet portraits.  Should you wish to include other pets (A3 and A2 sizes only) add an additional £20 for each animal, but please contact me with your requirements and I will be able to advise you with regard to composition.  Sizes are approximate and are the size of the paper, not including the mount (allow an additional 2" for this).

Portraits are provided with a white or single colour background which you may choose.  If you would prefer to have a particular background incorporated into the portrait, this can be arranged but may incur an additional cost.

All prices are for a single mount on paper and canvas board, ready to be framed. If you prefer a double mount on paper or box canvas, please let me know but there will be a small additional charge.

Frames:

To save you the time and effort, if you would like an all-inclusive price with frame, I can provide this too.  Go to the contact page and drop me an email.

Delivery charges:

Delivery price for UK: up to £10 for sizes up to and including 12" x 16".  £15 for sizes above.  Framed portraits will be priced individually.  Sent Royal Mail Special Delivery and overseas Airsure, from £20.  If you are local and can collect then there will, obviously, be no delivery charges.
